Coleman Powermate 3500 Watt - No DC Power

I have a Coleman Powermate 3500 generator that stopped putting out D.C. power to charge batteries. What is the problem? How do I fix it.

DC Power Check
by: Rob - AboutGenerators.com

Your generator should be equipped with either a DC circuit breaker or a fuse to protect the circuit. The DC circuit breaker is usually a small round button about 1/4 inch in diameter that needs to be simply pushed back in.

If your unit uses a fuse then it should be clearly labeled and located on the front panel often fairly close to the DC outputs.

After checking the simple then more serious checks are required. If only the DC power is affected then probably your diodes need to be checked to make sure they didn't burn out.

You can also check to make sure that there is no power, either DC or AC being produced in the DC outputs. If DC is low or AC is being produced in the DC outputs, then diodes are one of the likely culprits.

For more things to check you can take your model number to the following website and see the manual for it.

That is what I've got. Some of these are pretty vague questions which necessitate somewhat vague answers. I try to give some tidbit so that you'll be pointed in the right direction, though.
